2017 Frisco Bowl NFL Draft Prospect Preview

December 20, 2017

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs vs Southern Methodist Mustangs
8:00 CST on ESPN

Louisiana Tech Prospects
RB Boston Scott
LT Joshua Outlaw
S Secdrick Cooper

SMU Prospects
WR Courtland Sutton
C Evan Brown
DE Justin Lawler

The star of this game is SMU WR Courtland Sutton (#5 WR) who passes the eyeball test at 6’4 215lbs looking like the receivers that are dominating the league. With a wide open receiving class, a player like Sutton is getting some first round love and could use a big game on a national stage to really impress. While Sutton is the top prospect in the game, keep an eye on his teammate DE Justin Lawler. Halfway through the season Lawler had 6.5 sacks and was graded by Pro Football Focus as the highest rated pass rusher in the country. At 6’4 265 Lawler has the size and production that could make him a name you hear shoot up boards closer to the draft. Lawler will be facing off against the Bulldogs LT Joshua Outlaw who is a fringe draftable player looking to make a name for himself.
