The 2019 NFL combine will get underway later this week as more than 300 of the country’s top college prospects run, jump and lift their way into the hearts of 32 teams.
But what do all the numbers actually mean?
Former NFL personnel genius and Class of 2019 Hall-of-Famer Gil Brandt tweeted his list of target test results for each position Monday. Check it out:

Keep this chart handy while you’re watching the near week-long underwear Olympics.
Brandt’s target numbers have remained pretty consistent through the years, which is surprising considering how much bigger, stronger and faster players have become.
But remember: these numbers are position-minimums prospects should aim for. So, if a wide receiver runs a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash, it doesn’t mean a scout like Brandt will love him. Instead, it simply means he ran fast enough to play in the NFL.
