With Free Agency winding down it is the perfect time to take a look at the team needs for each team as we get closer to the 2020 NFL Draft. Listed below are the Arizona Cardinals Team Needs as they head into the 2020 NFL Draft listed in order of importance.

2020 Arizona Cardinals Team Needs

Offensive tackle

The Cardinals need to do a better job of protecting franchise quarterback Kyler Murray. Last year he was sacked 48 times as a rookie, which was tied for the most in the NFL. After adding a star wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins, the next step is to add to the trenches to continue building this offense.

Defensive end

Defense is a big weakness in Arizona and it starts upfront. The Cardinals need to start getting some push in the trenches or their defense will keep getting pushed around. A powerful defensive end will help open things up for the guys behind him and solidify their defensive line.

Outside Linebacker

The Cardinals have one of the better pass rushers in the league in Chandler Jones, but you need more than one pass rusher to build a successful defense. Adding a guy who can compliment him on the edge would give the Cardinals a real strength.

Despite adding De’Vondre Campbell, this linebacking core still needs some improvements. They added Jordan Phillips to anchor the defense up front, but they still need guys who can chase and tackle. One more linebacker can make the heart of this defense a strength.

Tight End

The Cardinals have talent and depth at receiver, but the tight end position is a bit bare. Adding a big body target in the red zone could do a lot of good for a young quarterback. Bringing in an athletic tight end can take this offense from good to great.
