With Free Agency about to begin it is the perfect time to take a look at the team needs for each team as we get closer to the 2020 NFL Draft. Listed below are the Jacksonville Jaguars Team Needs as they head into the 2020 NFL Draft listed in order of importance.

2020 Jacksonville Jaguars Team Needs

Cornerback

At one point the Jaguars had one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL in Jalen Ramsey and a high priced free agent AJ Bouye. Now the Jaguars have neither after shipping Ramsey to the Rams and Bouye to the Broncos. Without a starting caliber cornerback the Jaguars will likely need to use one of their two first round picks on a corner.

Defensive Tackle

Marcel Dareus didn’t cut because he wasn’t performing but rather it saved the team $20 millon off the cap. With Dareus gone the Jaguars could use someone to fill Dareus shoes as a run stuffer. Jacksonville could get aggressive and target Derrick Brown with the ninth overall pick or they could wait till day three and find a big tackle who’s good at plugging holes.

Tight End

Using a third round pick on tight end Josh Oliver was thought to be the answer to the Jaguars need of an athletic pass catching tight end. Unfortunately Oliver got hurt and missed all but four games. When you combine the lack of production out of the position with the need within Jay Gruden’s system and it only makes sense for the Jaguars to target the position on day two.

Offensive Line

Between Cam Robinson at left tackle and AJ Cann at right guard the Jaguars have a few weaknesses along their offensive line. While Cam Robinson has played well they could give him another shot and bring in a guard to compete with Cann. Another option could be for the Jaguars to draft one of the elite tackles at nine and move Robinson inside to guard where some thought he was better suited coming out of college.

Linebacker

The sudden hiatus of linebacker Telvin Smith surprised a lot of people and left a big void next to Myles Jack who ended the season on injured reserve. With the uncertainty of whether or not Telvin Smith will be coming back or if Myles Jack can bounce back from his injury leaves a big opening.
