As the United States slowly continues on its path toward defeating the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL informed all 32 teams that they can gather in their draft rooms for the 2021 NFL Draft, assuming certain health and safety protocols are adhered to.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero provided the details on Twitter:
The NFL informed clubs today they will be allowed in their draft rooms for the 2021 draft, provided physical distancing and proper mask wearing are followed, per source.
So, no "home draft" this year, though cameras will again be installed with each GM and head coach.

The 2020 NFL Draft was a completely virtual event that showcased league coaches and general managers drafting from their living rooms and basements. There were some memorable moments from last year’s draft, including Bill Belichick’s dog and Mike Vrabel’s sons.

The next big decision for the league is whether fans can attend the draft in Cleveland and whether the prospects will enjoy the fanfare and pre-event celebrations as is traditionally associated with NFL draft weekend.
For now, this is one step toward normalcy that we all desperately need.
