We officially know where Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is headed next season, as the Jacksonville Jaguars secured the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft with their Week 16 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The Jaguars had been jockeying with the New York Jets all season for the right to call Lawrence’s name in April, but the Jets’ shocking two-game winning streak (New York defeated the Browns on Sunday) officially knocked them out of contention for the first pick.

Jacksonville hasn’t had a quarterback like Lawrence in its franchise history. He’s a generational prospect and will bring the Jaguars instant credibility in 2021 and beyond.

Congrats to all the long-suffering Jags fans who’ve been praying for a moment like this.
