Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick and former Alabama star, DeVonta Smith, is expected to miss time due to a sprained knee suffered at Eagles training camp.
MRI revealed relative good news, sprain instead of something worse, but he will miss time. https://t.co/gRX7cmYNRb

Smith finished the 2020 season as the Heisman Trophy winner after catching 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns. He’s expected to immediately become Philadelphia’s top target, but this injury muddies those waters a bit.
Smith’s undersized frame — 6’0, 170 pounds — was a red flag during the run-up to the 2021 NFL Draft. And while a sprained knee can happen to anyone regardless of size, it won’t help ease those size concerns either.
