Georgia edge defender Travon Walker was the star of the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine after his incredible performance in the athletic testing on Saturday. Walker, who checked in at 6-foot-5 and 272 pounds, ran a remarkable 4.51 40-yard dash, jumped 35.5 inches in the vertical jump, had an outstanding 10’3″ broad jump and a 6.89 3-cone.
Simply put, he was a freak. Add his 35.5-inch arms to his package of traits and you have the profile of an elite prospect.
Walker entered the NFL Scouting Combine with a significant amount of buzz. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah jumpstarted most of it when he mocked Walker to the New York Giants at No. 5 overall, and now that Walker’s Combine workout is in the books, Jeremiah looks like a genius.
But will Walker actually come off the board that early? Or, will he come off the board even earlier?
