It’s incredible what a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine can do for a prospect’s draft stock. There’s no better example of this in the 2022 NFL Draft than Georgia edge defender Travon Walker, whose remarkable performance in Indianapolis now has him in the mix to be the first overall pick.

Yes, you read that right. According to Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline, the Jacksonville Jaguars have Walker on their shortlist of players in contention at No. 1 overall.

“Sources have confirmed that the Jaguars have targeted Walker as a player they could take with the first pick,” Pauline wrote this week. “Sources have also confirmed that Walker will be sitting down with the front office and top brass of the organization in the coming weeks. The team will do its due diligence on Georgia’s defensive lineman.”
