Georgia RB James Cook declares for 2022 NFL Draft

James Cook 2022 NFL Draft

Georgia running back and Vikings star Dalvin Cook’s younger brother, James Cook, declared for the 2022 NFL Draft this week after a career-best 2021 season that saw the Bulldogs’ offensive weapon run for 728 yards and seven touchdowns while adding an additional 284 yards and four scores through the air.

“Monday night still feels surreal,” Cook said of Georgia’s championship victory. “Bringing a National Championship to Athens was the ultimate goal of my college football career and that has now been completed. I want to thank every single person that supported us throughout this season and the love I have for you all is forever.”

Cook’s backfield-mate Zamir White is also headed for the NFL.

“To the University of Georgia and all our fans thank you for the best three years I could have ever hoped for,” White said. “These are memories I will never forget and will surely last a lifetime. It’s what prepared me for this next step as I proudly announce my intention to declare for the 2022 NFL Draft!”

Both Bulldogs running backs are quality prospects who should come off the board in the middle rounds of the 2022 draft.
