So much for drama at the first overall pick of the 2020 NFL draft. The Cincinnati Bengals have long been considered a lock to select LSU quarterback Joe Burrow No. 1, and while there were some late rumblings that the Miami Dolphins were trying to package picks to move into the top spot, the Bengals will do what’s long been expected.
Burrow will be a Bengal, and he’ll be tasked with the daunting challenge to flip Cincinnati from a perennial loser to a viable contender.
We even know what number he’ll wear.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Burrow will wear No. 9 — the same number he wore at LSU.
Mike Brown also sent Joe Burrow and his parents No. 9 Bengals jerseys – jerseys for all of them — which now officially will be the number that he will wear in Cincinnati. https://t.co/l0BDOnJJnx

Bengals fans can get a head start placing their jersey orders. It’s probably safe to assume Burrow’s jersey sales will rank near the top of the league in 2020.
