We’re about to enter Malik Willis overdrive after the top 2022 NFL Draft quarterback prospect fired this incredible 65-yard dime at his pro day on Tuesday:

How Malik Willis’ pro day impacts 2022 NFL draft
Look, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not all-in on the Willis hype, but this throw is… something. What’s more remarkable to me is his emotional response after the pass. The smile; the joy; it’s infectious and is the kind of personality that NFL teams want inside their locker room.
We currently have Wills ranked as our QB2 behind Kenny Pickett but there’s a chance that could change with all of the momentum building around Willis’ draft stock. Some NFL Draft analysts have Willis going as high as No. 2 overall to the Detroit Lions, and while I don’t believe his tape warrants a selection that high, this year’s draft is so evenly ranked in the top 10 that there’s a chance Detroit views him as a player with the highest ceiling at the most important position.
Our latest 2022 NFL mock draft has Willis going to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 9 overall, and I feel good about that slotting. He’d have a chance to fit what the Seahawks like to do on offense and he’d have little trouble unseating Drew Lock as the starter in 2022.
Willis has done everything an NFL draft prospect can possibly do to elevate their stock over the last few months. Now, we’ll have to wait to see how high he goes in the first round.
