Here’s which 2022 NFL Draft prospects to watch in National Championship

2021 National Championship

The 2021 college football champions will be decided in Monday night’s National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs in a contest that will feature no shortage of high-end 2022 NFL draft prospects.

As many as four potential top-20 players will put their talents on display, including Jordan Davis (DL, Georgia), Evan Neal (OT, Alabama), Jameson Williams (WR, Alabama), and Nakobe Dean (LB, Georgia). The list of top-tier names extends deeper into the top-50, with talents like Travon Walker (Edge, Georgia), John Metchie III (WR, Alabama), Henry To’o To’o (LB, Alabama), Jordan Battle (SAF, Alabama), Christian Harris (LB, Alabama), and George Pickens (WR, Georgia).

In case you aren’t doing the math, that’s 10 top-50 prospects on one field in the biggest game of the college football season. It’ll be an incredible opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how good these players are. Their on-field talent is obvious and there’s plenty of film to study to grade their traits, but one of the biggest challenges for any scout to overcome is figuring out whether a prospect has the mental toughness or overall mental makeup to come up big when it matters most. For the players on the field Monday night, their individual performances have never mattered more.

Other names to watch include Devonte Wyatt (DL, Georgia), Jamaree Salyer (iOL, Georgia), Phidarian Mathis (iDL, Alabama), Derion Kendrick (CB, Georgia), Quay Walker (LB, Georgia), Lewis Cine (SAF, Georgia), and Emil Ekiyor (iOL, Alabama).
