Change is upon us for several teams around the NFL. With the 2021 regular season over, and only 14 teams advancing to the playoffs, 18 clubs are left to take a long and sometimes hard look at the direction their team is going in. As a result, jobs are lost and changes are made, and it usually comes at the expense of the head coach.
The day after the end of the regular season has long been known as Black Monday because of all of the major firings, and this year’s been no different.
Here’s the running list of head coach and general manager firings that have occurred so far:
Coaches who’ve been fired or resigned:
Matt Nagy, Bears
Brian Flores, Dolphins
Mike Zimmer, Vikings
Vic Fangio, Broncos
Urban Meyer, Jaguars (in-season)
Jon Gruden, Raiders (in-season)
