Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had his medical re-check on his injured him Monday and the results were as positive as teams could have hoped for.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tagovailoa remains on schedule for a complete recovery.
#Bama QB Tua Tagovailoa had his four-month scans today on his dislocated hip, and sources described them as “very good with no concerns.” Essentially, as positive as possible. Accordingly, he’ll now begin the slow progression of activity to get his body ready for play.

Tagovailoa said at the NFL Combine last month that his plan was to hold a private pro day on April 9. According to NFL Network’s Steve Wyche, the plan remains although the date remains fluid.
Regardless of when (or even if) Tagovailoa holds his pro day, it’s great news that his recovery remains on schedule. Prior to his injury, Tagovailoa was considered a contender for the No. 1 overall pick. Now, he’s likely to slide to the Miami Dolphins at No. 5 overall unless a team is confident enough in his recovery to trade ahead of Miami to secure the lefty’s services.
Tagovailoa was our top quarterback prospect at the start of the 2019 college football season and while LSU’s Joe Burrow has surpassed him since then, there’s a chance he could resume his spot at the top of the quarterback list if he enjoys a strong finish to the 2020 draft season.
