Twitter lost its mind over Zach Wilson’s performance in Boca Raton Bowl

Zach Wilson NFL Draft

Zach Wilson and the BYU Cougars demolished UCF in the 2020 Boca Raton Bowl, 49-23, Tuesday night, and the junior quarterback was all the buzz on Twitter after totaling 438 yards and five touchdowns.

Fans of teams hoping to land a franchise quarterback in the 2021 NFL draft couldn’t be happier this holiday season, as Wilson joins Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields as bonafide blue-chip franchise quarterback prospects.

The buzz around Wilson has never been louder. Some draft analysts now have Wilson ahead of Fields in the race for QB2, and while I’ll reserve my opinion until after I complete their 2020 film study, there’s a good chance I’ll be in that camp too.

Wilson entered the Boca Raton Bowl having completed 73.1% of his passes for 3,274 yards, 30 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

Here’s what some fans were saying on Twitter during (and after) the game:
