Washington rookie Chase Young has historic game vs. 49ers

Chase Young

Every now and then, an NFL draft prospect comes along who makes the job of a talent evaluator very, very easy. This was the case in the 2020 draft when Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young was universally considered the best non-quarterback prospect in the class and arguably the best pass-rushing prospect to come out in a long time.

Young was selected second overall by the Washington Football Team and his rookie season has gone exactly as expected. Young, who missed one game this year, has 5.5 sacks and enjoyed a historic outing against the 49ers in Week 14.

If you watched the game, then you know. Young is on the cusp of superstardom and should reach that level of respect around the league by next season, at the latest. Heck, he might already be there. He was ferocious against the 49ers and was every bit the pass-rush unicorn he was projected to be.

Washington will need everything Young has to offer in Week 15 as the Football Team welcomes Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to FedEx Field.
